In addition to doing eye exercises to improve my eyesight, I am also doing a bit of research online about vision improvement. While doing so, I came across these two sites that people interested in improving their eyesight by natural means may find useful.

Day 1 - My first day doing eye exercises.

wmeng24 | May 19, 2006

As I indicated in my last post, I intended to start the eye exercises on Monday. I did not achieve this, but I started yesterday (Wednesday).

I found that the exercises were much easier to learn than I expected. I expected some difficulty because in the book that comes with the Vision For Life Kit, there is a troubleshooting section after each exercise is described. These sections explain what should be done if you are having problems with the exercises.

I am going to ensure that I carry out some more exercises tonight. Until My next post…

A Brief Overview of the Vision For Life Program

wmeng24 | May 14, 2006

Well I have completed reading through the material sent to me when I ordered the Vision For Life kit. Today I just wanted to give a brief description of what the package contained.

Vision For Life Kit

The Vision for Life Book - this book (88 pages) explains the entire system. It is very easy to follow and understand. The book covers topics such as:

  • Why it is that we don’t hear about eye exercises as an alternative to vision improvement
  • What are the functions of the eye
  • The various vision disorders and what cause them
  • How eye exercises work

Of course it also outlines the various eye exercise you will be using to improve your vision. There are three exercise routines which specifically address particular disorders.

The Vision for Life Vision Improvement Tools - these include 5 laminated charts (including an eye chart for measuring your vision), “stringbeads,” a personal eye-patch, etc

Along with your purchase you also get a subscription to the Natural Vision Improvement Newsletter. I find that this is very useful and helps to provide motivation.

I am going to start doing the exercises on Monday, so look out for more posts on my progress.

There are several natural vision improvement programs. Why I decided on the program I chose to use.

wmeng24 |

The program I’m decided to use to improve my eyesight is the Vision For Life Program.

Vision for Life Box

Although there are other programs for natural vision improvement, I decided to go with this program for two main reasons:

  1. The period of the risk-free guarantee - while other programs indicated that if you are not satisfied with results of the exercise after using for up to 30 days, The Vision For Life Program offered a similar guarantee for a full 180 days (6 months)!… No questions asked.
  2. The numerous amount of testimonials - On the Vision For Life website there are a little over 50 testimonals from various people who have successfully improved their vision by doing the recommended eye exercises. This was one testimonial that I particularly remembered:

“I did the program for 25-35 minutes a day for a full 30 days… I started seeing an improvement in my vision after a couple weeks. My vision was an awful 20/400. I went to the Optometrist to see how much I improved. She said “your eyes got a lot better” and asked me what I did. She didn’t have much else to say after that except that “your vision is now 20/200.” I only wish I would have known about this technique 10 years ago before my vision got so bad.”
Roger Sigler, Katy, TX

The reason I remembered this one was because the persons eyesight was as bad as my own.

Tomorrow I would post a brief overview of contents of the programs.

Why am I doing these eye exercises?

wmeng24 | May 12, 2006

The reason I opted to do these eye exercises (and believe that they would infact help my eyesight) is because of my faith in the body’s ability to heal itself.

I don’t believe in taking medicine too often or too quickly. Some folks run-off and take tablets as soon as they get sick. When I get sick, I take vitamin C and try to rest. This has worked for me. And I don’t get sick very often. I am of the opinion that taking medicine too often does more harm than good, because you are in effect building up a dependency on the medicine and thus weakening your bodies ability to heal itself (your immune system).

So too, with your eyesight, becoming too dependent on wearing glasses or contacts, does not give your eyes the opportunity to try and heal themselves. I only wish I knew about eye exercises a long time ago.

A little bit about myself

wmeng24 | May 4, 2006

Today I just want everyone to know a little bit about myself. This is really being done so that people can compare their particular situation when reading my progress.

  • Age - 29
  • Height - 170 cm
  • Weight - 140 lbs (kg)
  • Occupation - Civil Engineer
  • Amount of years wearing glasses - since I was about 8 years old
  • Eyesight - 20/400 :-(
  • Eye defects - short sightedness and astigmatism

If anyone wants me to add any more information that they may find applicable, please let me know.

Welcome to ImprovingMyVision

wmeng24 | May 1, 2006

Welcome to the ImprovingMyVision blog. This blog is set up so that I can record my progress with using eye exercises to improve my vision. The blog would be updated at least once a week (more like twice a week). The website ImprovingMyEyesight.com was created as an accompaniment to this blog and provides information on:

  • The eye and how it works
  • Eye care
  • Natural ways of improving your eyesight

I hope that my progress and eventual success with improving my eyesight would serve as encouragement for other people to try eye exercises as a natural alternative to the various surgeries available for improving vision.
