Continuing Exercises & A Commitment to Myself

August 3rd, 2006 wmeng24 2 comments

I have continued doing the eye exercises. I have also made the following commitments to myself:

  • I will try to do the eye exercises every single day over the next two weeks
  • Since I have found that in the past I have missed a few days, there are some easier exercises (the easier ones) that I would try to do whenever I can… a few minutes here, a few minutes there, etc.
  • After the two weeks I will have an eye test done to see if there are any improvements
  • Regardless of the results of the test, I would continue doing the eye exercises for at least three weeks thereafter and then have another test done
  • I will try to drink carrot juice at least twice a week
  • I will, as much as is possible, try to go about my daily activities without using my glasses

I have made these commitments because I really want to see if these eye exercises do actually improve vision. I want to thank all the readers who have written comments and have emailed me with words to spur me on. It has been quite encouraging… Thank you.

Sorry For The Lack Of Updates On The Blog

July 29th, 2006 wmeng24 1 comment

Good Day Readers,

You would have noticed that there haven’t been any updates for several weeks now. I must apologise for this. The reason is that I had to rush off to my vacation. After I left the office, I only had enough time to quickly pack a few clothes and be off to the airport. I was on vacation for the past four weeks and only came back home last night.

During my vacation, I was unable to have regular access to a computer with internet access. In fact, on my entire vacation, I was only able to go online for about 30 mins, which I used to check my emails. I noticed that I received some emails about the lack of updates at the blog and I have some comments to moderate.

I would would moderate the comments and reply to your emails today.

Also, because of the rush to the airport, I did not remember to take along my Vision For Life Kit, which meant that I was unable to do any eye exercises over the past four weeks. I hope this hasn’t caused any regression in progress of my eye improvement.

I must apologise to the readers for lack of updates and the lack of an explanation until now.

I shall be continuing my eye exercises tomorrow.

William

Progressing On To The Second Set of Eye Exercises

June 28th, 2006 wmeng24 4 comments

The Vision For Life Program has specific exercise routines based on your eye defects. For my condition – astigmatism and nearsightedness, the routine is divided into Days 1 – 6, Days 7 – 12, Days 13 – 18, Days 19 – 24, Days 25 – 30 and then Days 31 to beyond. As the days advance, the exercises require a little more effort.
When I started doing the eye exercises, I decided that I wouldn’t move on to a next set of days unless I fully understood the exercises from the previous set and did them regularly.
Last week I was quite diligent in doing the exercises. So today I moved on to the exercises in the Days 7 – 12 set.

These exercises were a bit more difficult to get done… but I managed ok.
I will continue tomorrow….

Nutrition and Eye Health

June 23rd, 2006 wmeng24 7 comments

I am happy to say that I have been doing the eye exercises regularly. I have seen a bit of improvement. I am able to see the letters on the eye chart (included in the Vision For Life Kit) a little clearer from the same distance as when I started. Also, I am able to focus on distant object much better (See my last post)
With this new found motivation, I started to wonder about how my diet affects my eyesight. You would have probably heard that “carrots are good for your eyesight”. I certainly have, but I wanted to know more. I did some research and wrote an article based on my findings. You can check it out here…

Hope you find it informative.

Is my eyesight improving?

June 14th, 2006 wmeng24 6 comments

That question is constantly on my mind… is my eyesight improving? Are these eye exercises working?
I am happy to say that I have been continuing the eye exercises regularly. Yesterday I got the first indication that the eye exercises may be improving my eyesight
I was able to discern the numbers on a the number plate of a car some distance away (I didnt measure the distance, but it was far enough that I wouldn’t have even thought of trying to read the numbers).

I was speaking with someone and looked away for a moment at the car, when I noticed that I was actually seeing the numbers. However, I lost focus quickly. But, I was able to tell what the numbers were (not totally clear) after I tried to focus on them again.
This is quite encouraging!

Continued Exercises Today

June 9th, 2006 wmeng24 No comments

Today I started back doing the eye exercises. As I mentioned in my post on Wednesday, I wasn’t doing the exercises on a regular basis as I should have.

I am going to make a conscientious effort to do these exercises regularly, so that I can give the Vision For Life Program a fair chance and readers of this blog can truely follow my progress.

I haven’t been doing the exercises on a regular basis :-(

June 7th, 2006 wmeng24 2 comments

I have to admit that I am a bit dissapointed in myself. I haven’t been doing the exericises regimentally, like I want to.

I started doing these exercises on the 17 May. I did it everyday for the first three (3) days and then haphazardly thereafter. I have also missed quite a few days.

I thought to myself, if I continue like that, I am going to be unfair to the Vision For Life Program as well as myself. I would also be unfair to the readers of this blog. I opted to try eye exericises because I wanted to improve my vision. I certainly cannot do that if I don’t do the exercises.

Anyways, I have made a promise to myself to make a conscienous effort to do the eye exercises regularly.

Day 1 – My first day doing eye exercises.

May 19th, 2006 wmeng24 2 comments

As I indicated in my last post, I intended to start the eye exercises on Monday. I did not achieve this, but I started yesterday (Wednesday).

I found that the exercises were much easier to learn than I expected. I expected some difficulty because in the book that comes with the Vision For Life Kit, there is a troubleshooting section after each exercise is described. These sections explain what should be done if you are having problems with the exercises.

I am going to ensure that I carry out some more exercises tonight. Until My next post…

A Brief Overview of the Vision For Life Program

May 14th, 2006 wmeng24 4 comments

Well I have completed reading through the material sent to me when I ordered the Vision For Life kit. Today I just wanted to give a brief description of what the package contained.

Vision For Life Kit

The Vision for Life Book – this book (88 pages) explains the entire system. It is very easy to follow and understand. The book covers topics such as:

  • Why it is that we don’t hear about eye exercises as an alternative to vision improvement
  • What are the functions of the eye
  • The various vision disorders and what cause them
  • How eye exercises work

Of course it also outlines the various eye exercise you will be using to improve your vision. There are three exercise routines which specifically address particular disorders.

The Vision for Life Vision Improvement Tools – these include 5 laminated charts (including an eye chart for measuring your vision), “stringbeads,” a personal eye-patch, etc

Along with your purchase you also get a subscription to the Natural Vision Improvement Newsletter. I find that this is very useful and helps to provide motivation.

I am going to start doing the exercises on Monday, so look out for more posts on my progress.

There are several natural vision improvement programs. Why I decided on the program I chose to use.

May 14th, 2006 wmeng24 No comments

The program I’m decided to use to improve my eyesight is the Vision For Life Program.

Vision for Life Box

Although there are other programs for natural vision improvement, I decided to go with this program for two main reasons:

  1. The period of the risk-free guarantee – while other programs indicated that if you are not satisfied with results of the exercise after using for up to 30 days, The Vision For Life Program offered a similar guarantee for a full 180 days (6 months)!… No questions asked.
  2. The numerous amount of testimonials – On the Vision For Life website there are a little over 50 testimonals from various people who have successfully improved their vision by doing the recommended eye exercises. This was one testimonial that I particularly remembered:

“I did the program for 25-35 minutes a day for a full 30 days… I started seeing an improvement in my vision after a couple weeks. My vision was an awful 20/400. I went to the Optometrist to see how much I improved. She said “your eyes got a lot better” and asked me what I did. She didn’t have much else to say after that except that “your vision is now 20/200.” I only wish I would have known about this technique 10 years ago before my vision got so bad.”
Roger Sigler, Katy, TX

The reason I remembered this one was because the persons eyesight was as bad as my own.

Tomorrow I would post a brief overview of contents of the programs.
