Tips For Those With Eye Allergies…

While eye allergies cannot be cured, here are some ways you can combat your symptoms:

Know your enemy – According to the AAFA, a lot of pollen is released early in the morning, shortly after dawn. Pollen travels best on warm, dry, breezy days and peaks in urban areas midday, whereas pollen counts are lowest during chilly, wet periods. The National Allergy Bureau tracks pollen counts for different regions of the country.

Stay insideLimiting outdoor activity during pollination periods will lessen the amount of pollen you inhale. Keep windows and doors closed on days when the pollen is heavy. (A tip: Setting your central air conditioning on “recirculate” will help minimize the amount of pollen inside your home.) If you must go outside, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from pollen.

Don’t touch! - Avoid rubbing your eyes, which will only irritate them and make your condition worse. You’ll get better relief by using eye drops sold over the counter: Tear substitutes can wash allergens out of the eyes; decongestants (vasoconstrictors) reduce redness; and antihistamines help reduce itching. Warm compresses can also ease symptoms. Some herbal remedies, including eyebright in conjunction with stinging nettle, are said to provide a significant reduction in hay fever symptoms; as always, consult your doctor before you take any herbal medications.

Hey again. I just found out about a recipe for homemade eyedrops that work pretty well. They work for ALLERGIES, CATARACTS, GLAUCOMA & they also help with vision improvement if you are actively trying to improve your vision.

I didn’t make this up. This formula was created be the developer of the Master Cleanse(AKA the lemonade cleanse)

Here it is. Take 5 parts DISTILLED water. 2 parts ORGANIC, RAW, PURE honey.(buy the most expensive kind at whole foods) and 1 part RAW, ORGANIC apple citer vinegar WITH THE MOTHER.(again buy the more expensive kind. although braggs should probably work too)

What I did was Buy a glass Evian bottle, empty it out. I have a measuring cup. So I put in 5 ounces of distilled water. 2 ounces of the honey, 1 ounce of apple cider vinegar. Put it all in the glass bottle and shake it up. I bought an eye dropper from rite aid but they only have an eye dropper and not bottle with the eye dropper. so it was a pain in the ass to boil the eyedropper in hot water before each use. I couldn’t find an eye dropper witch comes with bottle until finally some on told me that at whole foods they have something called a “mixing bottle” for flower oil. It’s the same thing as an eyedropper. So i bought that and now I don’t have the boil the stupid rite aid eyedropper anymore. I have my own bottle of homemade eyedrops.

ALSO it says that these eye drops will not spoil or go bad. DO NOT refrigerate. Again DON’T refrigerate and they shouldn’t go bad.

They STING LIKE HELL. But your eyes will feel much better a few minutes after. I’ve only been using them a week but I’vd been having more clear flashed because of them.

I also just ordered something called eyebright. I got pill form and an eye wash. This is supposed to help with vision as well. I got it from herbmd.com

I’m going to try using my homemade eyedrops for 2 weeks then use the eyebright stuff for 2 weeks and keep rotating and see what happens.
