Well I didn’t do the exercises last night… but I made sure to do them this morning and I intend to do them tonight. Today I started to think about how my daily activities are affecting any progress that would be made by doing the eye exercises.
For example, I do a lot of work on the computer. This means that my eyes would be focused on a close object for quite some time. Surely this sort of activity can’t have a positive effect on my progress.
Anyways, I remembered that the Vision For Life Program recommends doing the following while working on the computer. It’s referred to as the 10-10-10 Rule:
Every time you are performing close vision work for over 10 consecutive minutes, look up and focus on anything that is at least 10 feet away, for at least 10 seconds. This simple rule helps to prevent the damaging effects of near-point stress and could literally save your eyesight!
There are some other Vision Tips related to computer use (for example, the one I posted about reducing computer eyestrain) and I would post an article some time next week.

Dear Dave,
How is Vision for Life doing you so far? I’m trying to look for feedback so I can get back to doing the program.

I have been doing the exercises regularly and I have an appointment with the optician this Friday to find out if there has been any improvements.
I got told to do the same thing by the optician and occupational health person at my work and i think it is definitely good for you as it gives you eyes a rest. It is like reading a book for too long – i used to get headaches but this tech helps.
Keep up the exercises and soon maybe if there are enough years behind the laser eye treatment both of us may go for it. I am holding back for the same reason – not enough documentation on long term effects and possible side effects.
Keep up the good work babe.xxSweetiePiexx
