Hey there. Thanks for making this site, it is interesting to follow! I have just used the same vision training program you have been using. The first time I started I didn't see much progress, even at day 20, and I figured out that was because I was definately using my glasses too much throughout the day. My eight hours at work I'd be wearing the glasses, along with other time. The second time I tried it I took it much more seriously, and basically stopped using my glasses for about 15 days straight(except when driving, of course) So the entire work day I'd not use my glasses(which was difficult) but I would put them on quickly if I needed them. I admit that it is hard to spend about a half hour a day doing them. I stopped at day 15 because I had an eye doctor appointment, and when I looked at my new contact lense persecription, I noticed that for the first time in about 8 years, my vision improved some! At every appointment since I was 15 years old, the doctor would say my vision is getting worse. However my contact lens perscription just went from -2.50 in the left eye to -2.00, and -2.00 in the right eye to -1.50. Also my astigmatism got better by .50 in my right eye also. It was definately nice to for once see that for the first time my vision didn't get worse.
Now, once I have more time, I am going to do the program very seriously again and go for the full 30 days. It is a pain tho, when my wife waiting around for me while I have some eyepatch on and a chart infront of my face. ;)
   Best of luck!

Hi, I just found this blog. I've been passively trying to improve my eyesight for quite some time but don't really have the money (poor college student) for any of those programs. My eyesight is really random ever sence I started trying to improve it. In a matter of seconds my good eye will go from 20/40 to 20/15 and then back and I don't really understand how/why this happens. I wish it would just stay at the 20/15. (Yes I know this is farsighted but I would love to be able to see like that all the time) I don't think my bad eye is quite as bad as yours. I read the 50 from 10 feet. I would also like to see you continue this blog.

And you used Bates? I have an interesting story. I tried to enlist into the Army and the medic said I was DQ'ed for -9.25 vision yet my OD measured me at 20/400... I do have amblyopia in my right eye but that shouldn't mean I'm as blind as the medic at MEPs said. Right now, I'm waiting on a pair of reduced RX I ordered then I can redo VFL because I saw a small improvement in a few days from testing a few of the exercises.

I have improved my vision from not being able to distinguish anything at all on the chart to reading a pretty consistent, if often blurry, 10/200 with flashes of up to 10/20. My prescription has probably not changed much (I haven't checked) but from a supposed -8/-9 I usually wear -6/-6/25. For night driving I go a little higher but I never even filled the -8/-9 prescription - my strongest current glasses are something -7/-8/ and i have had to wear them only a few times (I don't do much night driving, which helps).
