Nutrition and Eye Health

I am happy to say that I have been doing the eye exercises regularly. I have seen a bit of improvement. I am able to see the letters on the eye chart (included in the Vision For Life Kit) a little clearer from the same distance as when I started. Also, I am able to focus on distant object much better (See my last post)
With this new found motivation, I started to wonder about how my diet affects my eyesight. You would have probably heard that “carrots are good for your eyesight”. I certainly have, but I wanted to know more. I did some research and wrote an article based on my findings. You can check it out here…

Hope you find it informative.

Hey happy for your improvements. Just wondering what your prescription exactly is, and if you use undercorrected glasses at all. Keep it up. Thanks.

Thank you. My eyesight is 20/400… this is all that I know. Do you require more info. I haven’t been using undercorrected glasses.

However, I plan to go and get my eyes tested by the end of this month.

Oh so you are around -4 to -6 diopters. Ask your OD next time what diopters is your glasses. Also Try to get undercorrected glasses to give your eyes “some space” to improve. Are you planning to share this experience with your OD?

I wanted to get undercorrected glasses, but I didn’t think that any OD would agree to that.

I didn’t plan to tell my OD because I figured she would only discourage me.

Well just say that you need undercorrected one for computer use. Say that the full prescription glasses is too powerful for near work/comp use and you get headaches.

Ok, I’ll try that. I plan to go and get my eyes tested next week. I’ll ask her then. Thanks for all the comments T. Have you been trying eye exercises as well?
