As you may already know, I am signed up with the Rebuild Your Vision Program Newsletter. This means that every month, I get useful tips and information related to eye exercises and eye care.

In the most recent newsletter, they sent some interesting vision facts about the cornea:

The cornea is the only living tissue in the human body that does not contain any blood vessels. (The cornea is the eye’s outermost layer. It is the clear, dome-shaped surface that covers the front of the eye.)

The cornea receives its nourishment from the tears and aqueous humor that fills the chamber behind it.

If cornea is scratched, healthy cells slide over quickly and patch the injury before infection occurs and vision is affected, but deeper scratches may require medical attention.

Interesting, isn’t it?
